What is a School-Home Compact?

A School–Parent Compact is a written commitment describing how all members of a school community (parents–families, staff, and students) agree to share the responsibility for learning. This bridges the connection between school and home.

Family Engagement

How can families be involved at NSE?

NSE Title I program hosts FREE family events throughout the year. Students, families and teachers can share in engaging learning experiences. These family engagement events enhance the collaborative, friendly culture of NSE.

Students

My education is important to me. It helps me develop skills I need to become successful. I understand that my school and my parent(s) want to help me do my very best. I know I am responsible for my success and that I must work hard to achieve it. Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to do my best:

  • I will come to school on time and be prepared to do my best.
  • I will follow the rules, and be kind, thoughtful, and cooperative.
  • I will respect myself and the rights of others.
  • I will take responsibility for my own behavior.
  • I will set study time aside at home every day to complete homework.
  • I will give school communications to my parents and return items in a timely manner.
  • I will spend time at home reading and studying.

When teachers, parents, and students work together, we will be successful!
