North Sumner Elementary

Hello all!

Welcome back for the new school year.  I am so glad to see so many returning children as well as the new ones coming in the building in the mornings.  All the bright and shining faces start my day with a smile.

NSE has five new faculty members and a couple of changes in the old.  Mrs. Paige Kendall is our new First Grade teacher and Mrs. Lisa Keith has moved from 4th to 1st. Mrs. Brittney Brown is the new 3rd grade teacher.  Ms. Diana Wade has moved to 4th grade and Mrs. Susie Rippy is now teacher Kindergarten.  Our new P.E. Coach is Ms. Sonya Shrum.  We also have two new paraprofessionals to work with your children, Mrs. Tiffany Troutt and Mrs. Jennifer Smith-Clark.  All of these new additions have made our strong faculty and staff even stronger.  I am so happy to have them on board.

We have had a great beginning to the school year. The cookie sale was a success and we are working hard to make Fall Festival a sensation! Be sure you have October 28, 10-2 on your calendar.  The live auction will follow immediately after the closing of the booths.  Come out and join in the fun!

Thank you for continuing to let us participate in the lives of your children and the community.

Mr. Terry Herndon,

Principal, North Sumner Elementary School

North Sumner Elementary Piggy Bank Challenge!

This year NSE will be having a Piggy Bank Challenge leading up to our Fall Festival. Students can bring in any change or bills to help our school. The class that brings in the most amount of money, that classroom teacher will get to pick anyone in the building to kiss a pig. In addition, if each class raises at least $100.00, Mrs. Tammy Lamberth will kiss the pig.

Join us in a fun way to get our students excited about our upcoming festival, as well as support our school for future projects.

The turn in container for each classroom will be set up in the front lobby.

Our Mission:
